Can you do more with your site’s footer? This post from Smashing Magazine has a lot of ideas and design styles. The Blog Herald also wrote about making better use of your footer.
I thought the best idea was adding a site map or at least a link to take you back to the top of your site again.

I love the title of this article. I was browsing through your site and this title stopped me right in my tracks, I just had to come and read.
I have to agree with you on the link to the sitemap or link back to the top in the footer. This is something small that so many of us (myself included) forget to implement.
I’ve always enjoyed writing the titles. When I wrote newsletters I left the title for each one last, as a treat to me when I finished the bigger job of all the content and formatting (those email newsletters were more work before HTML email).
I do think it is a good thing. I’ve yet to do it though. My to-do list could sink a battleship.
