When was the last time you touched someone, deliberately? We are affected by touch. A little smack when you're making a pest of yourself. A light touch as a friend lets you know she is there. A real hug from someone you haven't seen in awhile. Touch is sensual and intimate and more personal than other forms of communication because it gets onto your skin. Touch breaks into the boundaries of your personal space and actually finds you, physically. Touch is powerful and emotional. Write about touching someone, not as an accident, but intentional. What are the circumstances? What are the cause and effects? How do both people (the one touching and the one who is touched) feel afterwards? What does it change? Would everything have happened the same if there had been no touching involved?
