Fixed my WordPress List Formatting Glitch

January 28, 2010

I’ve made a few list posts, mostly bullet style. The problem was the formatting, all my points were crammed together in a solid block of text. It made the post kind of unsightly and not very easy (or desirable) to read. If I tried to add a space it would try to make it my […]

Create a Favicon

September 27, 2009

You can make a favicon but can you get it to work? I’m happy with the favicon images I made at favicon.cc but so far they are still not showing up on my site.

Hand Drawn Web Design

July 30, 2009

I made this list for myself a few weeks ago. I love the hand drawn element added to web designs/ site templates. I was doing some myself, posting drawings I had done to my personal blog. I would like to get back to that.

Pretty Simple Site Promotion Ignored

July 28, 2009

It bugs me when I go to a business or charity type of site and find they have nothing extra to offer me. Not only is it harder and harder to find a real way of contacting anyone online but they are often really skimpy on content too. What are they saving it for? Why […]

Navigation, Style and Content

September 4, 2006

What are the keys to a good website? I think there are 3 main things. I have created this list from many years (since 1998) spent reviewing websites.
Navigation, style and content. You can adapt that to NSC, or not. Not works for me, I’m not even sure how to say that.
Anyway, navigation is probably the most […]

A Writer’s Website

May 15, 2006

Here are my ideas about making a writer’s site an asset to you and a resource for others to come to. It’s a bit scattered as I am leaving for Ottawa tomorrow and have some family stuff ongoing. But, I wanted to share the ideas while they were brewing around in my brain.
I think blogs are […]

Website Tinkering and Tampering

April 10, 2006

Someone told me that the front page of my personal site is just a webring page. I was really peeved! I’ve worked hard to make that a nice entrance way. It still seems kind of unprofessional and “needs improvement” but it’s so much better than my first few versions. I’m getting the hang of tables. […]
