Humble Beginnings

We can not deny
that often
a truth and a lie
have the same
humble beginnings,
intended to keep
someone from harm,
but in the scheme of things
both have the same intensity
to reduce someone to tears.

Too Late

Even if you find
your voice,
sometimes
it does not matter
anymore,
when you speak
to a man who is deaf
by choice.

Dodinsky

I found the first of these on an inactive blog. Tracked down more and wound up on Facebook at Dodinsky’s Garden of Thoughts.
